From fighter jet maintenance to crypto shares: why a former air force officer is revolutionising defence financing Michael combines the best of two worlds: a deep understanding of defence technology and innovative financial expertise. He began his career in the German Air Force, where he was responsible for the operational readiness of TORNADO and F4-F PHANTOM fighter jets as a technical officer and systems engineer. At the Eurofighter System Support Centre, he developed software for critical systems and worked closely with the defence industry. This military experience not only provided him with technical know-how and leadership skills, but also a unique understanding of the challenges facing the European defence sector. After his time in the Air Force, he worked as a management consultant, supporting digital transformation processes and developing innovative business models – the perfect preparation for his role at tacct. ‘I am convinced that technology is the key to a secure and peaceful future. Martin Stoussavljewitsch
The Architect of European Defense Innovation: From Air Force Officer to Pioneer in Defense-Tech Financing Martin Stoussavljewitsch embodies the perfect symbiosis of military expertise and visionary entrepreneurship—building a bridge between innovation and security for Europe. His career began in the Air Force, where he developed a deep understanding of the operational needs of modern armed forces as an officer and systems engineer. Later, as Principal Armaments Officer at the European Defence Agency (EDA) in Brussels, he spent eight years coordinating multinational armament projects and shaping strategic research agendas for future technologies such as unmanned aerial vehicles and Future Air Combat Systems. These experiences made him a specialist in the interface between defense requirements and technological innovation and the driving force behind tacct. Together with his twin brother Michael, he founded ecrop GmbH, the company providing the technology for the tacct platform. At the same time, Martin plays a key role in ArsenalX, an initiative dedicated to building European innovation hubs for defense technology. His extensive network and unique expertise make him the ideal bridge-builder between defense-tech startups and the capital market. Europe’s security and technological sovereignty are inseparable.
